As we struggle to find an end to our national economic woes, it is increasingly apparent that the pivotal issue that will define our future is inequality. Republicans continually find ways to erode the middle class- the backbone of a robust American economy; it is no coincidence that the decline of the middle class, and the rise of the 0.1%, mirrors a decrease in union membership.

Leading up to the WI recall and now in the post-mortem, the future of labor has gotten a lot of press.  Rich Yeselson wrote about it in The New Republic and I spoke about the repercussions in The Hill and last month on NPR’s Talk of the Nation.
